Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL) has two terminals. International flights are served by Terminal 1 while Terminal 2 serves Southwest Airlines, Frontier and charter flights. Most carriers recommend arrival 1.5-2 hours before departure for domestic flights and 2.5-3 hours before international flights. Your carrier should be contacted for specific recommendations. The weather can be very pleasant during the first week of November but be sure to bring an umbrella and light jacket. Temperatures range from 40 degrees – 60 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees – 16 degrees Celsius) but St. Louis can have very warm days in November. Click here to link to more information.
Recommendations for Activities
The conference hotel is across the street from world-famous Forest Park with its museums, science center, zoo and other attractions. A daytime walk to see the fall foliage and attractions would be delightful. The Metro Link offers public transportation to the Missouri History Museum on the north side of the park.
Just a few blocks from the hotel are a number of restaurants as well as upscale groceries which are excellent, easily accessible and fast.
Places of Worship
Consider one of the many (non-exhausive list) of synagogues, temples, mosques, and churches in the Central West End for worship. The Cathedral Basilica (“New Cathedral”) is within walking distance. The “New Cathedral (Old Cathedral is on the Mississippi River, downtown) is home to the Saint Louis Archdiocese and has tours focusing on the remarkable mosaics.
